Finally! It's OverLast Monday, things got heated when we (the management team) decided to let someone go. Our actions were done as recommended by our company’s legal source. I prepared myself mentally for this. It was going to be my first time to let a non-Filipino go. Reason? His working visa was just taking too long to work on.Our discussion with the agent turned sour when he refused to listen to our explanation, and that we were actually protecting his best interest rather than be selfish and drop him like a hot potato. We gave him until Tuesday to think about it. Sadly, the management team was left with no choice, but to severe our ties with him. Somehow, I felt so terrible because it looked like we just going to leave him alone. Truth is, I know what its like to be betrayed by those whom you expect to defend you in your roughest time. Its amazing that it will always be the people you least expect who’d help to see you through.Going back, Tuesday evening was possibly one of the most horrible day of this week. Just when we were about to deliver the final blow, the lawyer makes a major U-turn and declares that he will work until the agent’s visa problem is solved. We were completely caught off-guard by his move and I literally wore a stoic face on the turn of events. Somehow, I’m glad that things were over, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. You can never trust some lawyers. EVER!******************** Below are a couple of random SMS that I’ve received from friends. These fun texts kept up my jovial persona throughout the week.A new saying: “Aanhin mo ang guapo, kung mas malandi pa sa iyo.”Here’s another: “Aanhin pa ang condom, kung pareho naman kayong bottom.”Here’s a bastardised Filipino nursery rhyme Pen Pen de sarapen:Pen pen de chorvaloo De kemerloo de eklavoo Hao hao de chenelyn Big uten. Sifit dapat iipit Goldness filak Chumochorva sa tabi ng tienes!

******************** Just when I thought things were about to end for the week, a new challenge came up. One of my people is resigning. It shouldn’t be an issue, but doing a backfill and the having them go through the conversion process would simply be terrible and daunting.

Don'tcha
Finally, I got to settle all of my bills.
The paycheque came in time. Right now, I have enough to pay for the bills due by the end of the month. As for the how I’ll make it until the next pay, we’ll see how far I’ll go.
I only hope that the cheque from my back pay gets issues within this week. That would help out a lot in making me catch up with my dues. ********************* Saturday evening, I got to enjoy my sought after sports massage @ Fitness First Spa in the Fort. It was a great way to relieve myself from the stress of the previous week.
Afterwards, I met up with former colleagues and good friends from Sykes. It’s funny that all of us are now in different companies, and are considerably high powered career people. The four of us had dinner @ Choco-Late Serendra. We managed to catch up on each other’s latest news. Of course, we all reminisced about our experiences whilst we were all in Sykes. Indeed, it was nostalgia at its best. Then we talked about relationships. Only Thina was the one thriving on having someone right now. Shemai is now single. Oi is still single and so am I. *SIGH*
I guess we intimidate men in a way as we know what we want, and how to get it. On my end, I’m just happy to have great friends and a wonderful family. Having someone to call my own would be the icing of the cake. The food was great and the place was intimate enough for the four of us to have a fun time chatting. We originally planned to cap the night @ CBTL BHS, but it was packed. We settled for mediocre tea @ Seattle’s Best BHS, and yes, we bought doughnuts from Krispy Kreme to complement the tea.
It was great seeing these ladies after a long time. Until the next gathering…
*********************Mum and I had lunch @ Friday’s and it was simply divine. I am beginning to love salads more and more. I’ll probably be shifting my diet towards that direction. HEALTHY!!!
Last night, the Sunday group met up to celebrate/anticipate Jayvee’s birthday. We had a fabbie dinner @ Modern China G4. We were stuffed to the max! Too bad Meng was out. The Black Bean Gang a.k.a Bunch of Lunch would’ve been complete (Clyde showed up!!!)
After dinner, we rushed to Gb3 to catch the 20:50hrs screening of Chuck and Larry. The movie was a perfect for that Sunday evening. It was funny and entertaining. It wasn’t completely about gay and gay life. It was all about friendship and the lengths of what true friends will do for you. I loved it and made me be thankful for the friends and family that I have.
From the movie, I ran into a couple of peeps. A co-worker (from the training team) and his bf, a gym buddy and his bf, and a former agent who seemed like he was recruiting us (take note: I’m weighing his offer). Indeed, my COF has widened.
Finally, we capped the night @ CBTL Gb3. I had my Vanilla Ceylon to go with my slice of chocolate cake (they still don’t have Carnival Mate or Swedish Berries) instead of Tropical Passion. After three cups and tons of jokes, we got to sing Jayvee the Mandarin version of Happy Birthday.
It was a wonderful Sunday evening. I can’t wait for the coming weekend.

Messy. Cute, but Evil. Relax...This week has been very eventful.I managed to do stuff that I normally don't do. I've become a messenger, photocopier, appointment setter and all that. At first I hated that fact that I'm doing things not listed in my job details. Yet, I'm completely fine with it. These things are something that I need to learn so that I can say to myself that I've done them and I know what its like to juggle things. It actually helped me gain focus, prioritise and find balance in everything I do.I'm glad that I still managed to be consistent in my eating habits and working out after office. For that, I'm giving myself a pat on the back.Job well done.********************Yesterday, higher management finally decided on an agonisingly dragged issue about one of my multilingual agent's visa. The fact that this lasted for 1 yr and 2 months proved that this was left in the drawer and neglected. I'm glad that they've made the legal decision and it was good that I pushed them into pondering it within this week. I also find it unfair to the person who was waiting for the results of their visa status. Finally, I consider this case closed.********************He's a cute co-worker. He's got a nice smile. One thing I've learned is that a person who cannot look you in the eyes can either be: 1. Shy2. Sly3. Devil InsideFrom what my co-workers said, he was #1. Sorry, but I know guys like him and he's #3. I don't have to be part of your COF. I'm happy with mine. See you around.********************Lovelife: 0********************Music: To Be Near YouArtist: Viktoria

Life and Real LifeThis weekend has been full of surprises.I was lazy during the weekend. Nice recovery though. I managed to go to the gym and burn some calories this afternoon. The jam class was awesome. Jace managed to set up an amazing line up. Everything worked up a sweat. Fun times!I did catch up with Miss Beth and had a wonderful time attending the class with her.********************I met up with Cher @ Powerbooks Gb3. I wanted to buy some books, but again I had to hold off since my budget didn't allow me to splurge. Anyway, we did end up @ Chili's and had a jug of Frozen Strawberry Mango Margarita, Buffalo Wings and Chicken Ceasar Salad. As always, we capped the night by having tea (I had Vanilla Ceylon and she had Jap Che) and a slice of Chicago Cheesecake.Again, we managed to talk about going to Japan. I do hope I can go. I'd love to travel again. Time will come. In the meantime, I'll be holding on. ********************Lovelife: 0. none. zilch. nada.********************Here's a good article I've read about Second Lifehttp://money.uk.msn.com/investing/articles/morecommentary/article.aspx?cp-documentid=6103760********************Music: Muntik Na Kitang MinahalArtist: The Company

ChangesYes, I am officially 2 months old with my new job. Time flies fast and there's no turning back.My Sr. Manager and I made the announcement last Friday to my team about our conversion program. Majority welcomed it with open arms. A few expressed disappointment. Others were indifferent. Somehow, with what I've experienced in my life in the call centre industry, permanence is the only thing that's missing from the equation. Each day is a struggle to make sure that you're on top of the business, and your game is something played well.Next Tuesday, there's a new project in the works. I'll need to make sure that my skills are all intact and my expertise will prove to be very useful.********************Today, I was supposed to go the gym but somehow laziness took over me. Not to mention the fact that I am broke. Last night, Cher and I hung out @ BHS on a Friday evening. That was something that we haven't done in a long time. We walked the stretch of BHS and Serendra. Then, we had a wonderful dinner @ Chocolate. 2 steamed rice, 1 crispy daing na bangus and 1 laing. Perfect combination. Prior to that, Cher indulged herself in Manga. I would've done the same, but knowing my current financial standing, I had to be smart.Dinner was wonderful. Walked back and forth to burn the calories and ran into some college buddies from La Salle. It was simply wonderful. :) The evening ended with tea @ CBTL BHS. It was not as homely as CBTL Gb3, but it was fine enough venue to end the evening of strolling and chatting. Actually, we indulged ourselves in a reading pleasure. All we needed was a perfect chair. Well, it was just a simple and great Friday evening.********************Still no lovelife nor anyone who expressed interest in me. What do I do? I don't know.********************Music: Makes Me Wanna PrayArtist: Christina AguileraAlbum: Back To Basics

Wasted and PastedWell I was plastered last Friday night and it was just both fun and crazy. It would seem that my life here @ my current project is short lived. I have only until the end of the year to work things through. Right now, I need to start looking for other employment opportunities.Honestly, I've grown to love my current team. Less emotionanl investment, but they're still mine. I will still miss them.My Sr Manager is still looking for other possible projects that I can take over or manage. I'd like to keep my options open, so I will still try my luck outside.********************I'm trying hard to keep my focus on my career, but last night, whilst I was talking to Dave, he told me about their plans in moving to the US early next year as his bf passed the NCLEX. Somehow, I felt so much envy that he is making plans with his love and they're both taking that next big step.Listening to him, I felt alone. It occured to me that I have no one to share my hopes and dreams with. Its just me. It is kind of miserable to see myself in that situation, but that is my current reality. My god, I hope I don't end up being alone. ********************Here's the lyrics to my current favourite song. Although this song is about someone who's been neglected by her other half, I don't have one of my own, but its just as bad. Its about being alone.Music: We're Running Out Of Time Artist: LeAnn Rimes I'm sittin' on my porch And watchin' the flowers bloom I walk through my front door Everything is perfect in every room But something's wrong 'round here I'm always fighting back the tears And even when you come home I still feel all alone Chorus: I need you to find me I'm the one you left behind I want you to see me Cuz we're running out of time You made it look so pretty Such a beautiful family, such wonderful friends But how we're going so dirty I don't know what's real Cuz it all feels pretend But something's missing here I'm always drowning in my fears I've gotta take care of myself Before there's nothing left Chorus I'm more than just a pretty face I'm more than just your wife I have my hopes and my dreams too This is our song, my love I need you I want you Cuz we're running out of time
I have my hopes and my dreams too, yeah This is our song, my love ChorusI need you, find meI have no where left to hideI want you to see meCuz we're running out of time

I CAN’T WAIT FOR THIS WEEK TO BE OVER!!!I’m so glad that today’s Friday. I’m just sooooooooo eager for this week to end. It has been a pretty stressful week. First, it started out with quite a handful of stuff at work. Then the big ball was dropped last Tuesday when I was advised that my project will end on December. Everything went downhill from there. It felt like I was about to slip away and go berserk. Somehow, taking Yoga for the past 2 months helped me to have an better inner sense of calmness. Yes, I was very much disappointed, but somehow I’ve become more optimistic. However, I can’t freely say that I am totally safe. When I left Sykes, it felt like I became vulnerable. Now Thina was indeed right to say that life outside the call centre industry is different. If one project ends, you can easily be transferred to a different team. Right now, I feel helpless since I’m in a situation where hasty decisions will cause major blunders. I’ve decided to hold it out and talk to my senior on her plans for me. It’s a good thing that my team’s problems keep me busy. I can say that I’ve grown to love my team. Definitely, I have less emotional investment, but I still care for them as much as I care for my past teams. *Sigh* I’m keeping my hopes up and pray to the man upstairs that they help me out on this.********************Lovelife update: NONE. I’m happy though that my circle of friends with Fitness First has grown. Working out 5 times a week has indeed given me more energy, control and most of all balance. 2 months of Body Balance, Step, Attack, Jam and other exercises has opened my senses and allowed me to have a better disposition inspite of grueling circumstances. I am on my way to reconstituting myself and loving myself better. Here’s a shout out to Kirby, Benz, OSMA HR & IT Peeps for working on the 1st phase of my clearance! Thank you all! I’m also thanking miss Gemma in advance for offering to expedite my cheque’s release once I’ve completed the signatories.Again, THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO ALL OF YOU! GOD BLESS YOU! ********************

GatecrashLast night was one of those few Saturday nights that I got to go out. What made it more memorable was that I met up with Aileen and JV to have dinner and hang out @ Boni High St. So I joined them to attend this party. It's been a long time since I last gatecrashed a party. Surprisingly, I knew some people who were there, and obviously I didn't play the role of the wallflower. It was fun to have seen Gingay and her hubby Ed. I recall them back from my CSB days as a sweet couple and they're still sweet as ever. Funny too that we live near each other's places. She lives in Sun Valley whilst I here @ Marcelo. I also managed to make new friends. I'm sure I'll be seein them again and hang out at SM Bicutan. :)********************After the party, we took a late night stroll at Boni High St and managed to check out some shoppes that were still open. We also passed by the ever delicious Krispy Kreme. I indulged myself as I knew I came from an intensive work out. We capped the evening with tea @ CBTL Boni High St. It was a simply fun evening. One of those rare moments that people just spend time and reminisce of the past.Love it.********************I'm planning a Formal Dinner party at Le Souffle in The Fort. Its about time we finally got to do this. :)********************Music: Being With YouArtist: Vernie Varga
