Closing the mid year

With barely a week left, July is coming to an end.  It is official that we're on transit heading towards the end of the year.  I have to say that the past six months had been very kind to me.

Emotionally, I was sound even with no relationship involved. My thanks for friends and family for being there to keep me sane.

Spiritually, I think there is always a room for improvement with this.  Definitely I am not the best candidate for martyrdom or sainthood, but I'm not completely evil either.

Physically, being on the road to getting fit is an amazing journey.  Right now, I can say that I've come long way from quiting the smoking habit.  As for weight loss and control, it will be a more harrowing endeavour.  I must be consistent with this as money doesn't fall from the trees or the sky.  Plus, I'm getting close to 30 and I would like to make sure that I am in a good physical condition at that age.  I feel that once I hit 30, getting in shape would be much tougher.  Thus, push myself to the limits right now, and maintain whatever I will have achieved by then.

Lovelife = 0.  The absence of a partner can be very oblivious, but not required. It can be quite painstaking to see most people my age dating or snuggling with their other halfs.  There's this looker I've been seeing at the gym.  God, I need your help that I might muster all my courage to at least get his name. I wish I could go out with him even once.

Honestly, I would like to go out on a date with someone, to experience that special moment of being with a special person...getting to know him.  I will do my best no to waste this chance of getting to know him.  The way he looks is just amazing.  I could stare into his eyes and get lost in him. *sigh*  I hope to get that one chance with him.

Coldplay's The Scientist has been lingering in my mind like chocolate stain.

The Scientist
Coldplay

Come up to meet you
Tell you I'm sorry
You don't know how lovely you are

I had to find you
Tell you I need you
Tell you I set you apart

Tell me your secrets
And ask me your questions
Oh let's go back to the start

Running in circles
Coming up tails
Heads on a silence apart

Nobody said it was easy
It's such a shame for us to part
Nobody said it was easy
No one ever said it would be this hard
Oh take me back to the start

I was just guessing
At numbers and figures
Pulling your puzzles apart

Questions of science
Science and progress
Do not speak as loud as my heart

Tell me you love me
Come back and haunt me
Oh and I rush to the start

Running in circles
Chasing our tails
Coming back as we are

Nobody said it was easy
Oh it's such a shame for us to part
Nobody said it was easy
No one ever said it would be so hard
I'm going back to the start

Slammed!

Last Monday, I felt that everything about my confidence on love and meeting possible mates has somewhat come to a complete failure.  I came across this guy in the gym.  He was quite a looker.  So I mustered all of my courage and thought that there's nothing to lose if I at least ask for his name.  Being the friendly person I am, it was in good faith that I expected the guy to reply with the most casual of pleasantries.

WRONG EXPECTATION!

It turned out that the guy just looked the other way, and left.  With all honesty, I feel terribly bad for having been shut out by someone whose name was what I wanted to know.

*SIGH*

I feel that if I should want to meet a possible companion, I would have to face all of these possible rejections.  I said before that I have decided to put love aside.  Looking too hard causes frustration, but that would be less stressful than actually being denied.
