Sunday Of Sorts

It was a marvelous Sunday. So here I am about to call it a loooooooong day. I was glad to have caught up with spending my regular weekends with mum. :) We had a fab lunch at Cafe Med in Greenbelt 1 and it was all too filling! DIET! DIET! DIET! I had my favourite felafel and moussaka. To cap it off, I had tartufo for desert. It was simply divine!!!

After that, we strolled a bit around the mall to get a little exercise. I was actually ready to sleep having had too much food.

I saw the volleyball match of my crush. In conclusion, he is no longer my crush. Reason? Nothing in particular. I guess that's why they call it "crush" meaning it is something very temporary and indefinite (not that anything about developing feelings for someone is definite).

So came our turn to play against Emerson and it was quite unfortunate that victory eluded us this time. Well, we lost to a good team and at least it wasn't a default. It will hurt our overall standings, but I hope things get better. I also hope that some of my team members sacrifice a little of their time to exert effort in showing up for the games. Imagine that we were on the verge of panic as we lacked female players, and could have had a default loss. It is always better to lose in a played game than lose because some people didn't even have the decency to show up nor let their teammates know that they can't make it. *sigh* I'm going to have to make reminders again on this.

Tomorrow will be the start of the dreaded 9/25 launch. I am crossing my fingers that things go well. If ever we run into some hurdles, I hope that we can immediately recover. I pray that the whole team would be able to cope with this new change. God bless us all.

People are entitled to their opinion. It is just frustrating that some of them send out judgement over things they don't even know about. Nevertheless, I am unaffected by this since I do everything in a very objective manner. I am not saying that I'm infallible. I am just proving my point on being focused and impartial. If you feel that I was unfair to you? Put yourself in my shoes and read/listen to the things you've done and said (to the point of badmouthing people). When it comes to work, I don't include personal issues. I NEVER DO. I just base all reviews on performance which is what you give me. EOI.

So its been 2 successful Sundays for the Adobe Vball team. We're so thankful that we were able to win our past 2 games in straight sets. I just hope that we will be able to continue the good streak. We need lots of practise and encouragement as our next match with be against our good friends from Emerson.

Whilst watching the games yesterday, I made friends with a lad from another account. The chap is a hottie!!! I haven't made new friends in a long time, and I'm glad this came about. I'm looking forward to being able to get to know him better in next week's game. Whether things progress or just stay platonic, I'm glad to have made a new friend. Its a pleasure to meet you John Paul. TTYL.

September Fever

Yesterday was completely amazing! Thanks to the Man upstairs! Our team played really well against our opponents. All our team needs is practise. The tune up match we had last Friday certainly helped us assess our individual limitations, and work on improving whilst developing a play for the game too.

I hope we continue this great winning streak.

A good friend of mine texted me yesterday saying a that one of our peers was in the Cosmo Bachelors list. I was quite stunned to find out his name and profile was there. He is a diving instructor, so I guess that adds major points to his appeal.

Well, from how I know him, he is a nice lad and he also has a wicked sense of humour. I just need to adjust my brain whenever he makes jokes though as most of them requires too much thinking. :) Nevertheless, I'm happy he's on such a list and I can proudly say "I KNOW THAT GUY!" Hehehehe.

Ren's party yesterday was really cool. It had an intimate setting and allowed people to relax and indulge on food. YES! Food glorious food. Great company + greate food + posh venue = excellent party. It was one of those rare moments that we could get together and unwind. We also had shots of Butterscotch vodka (Nordic) and it was smashingly brilliant. The drink looked innocent enough and yet managed to bring the right amount of kicks. :) Way to go to Florence for the party! Thanks to James and Pie for sharing us the place. It was simply fab.

Ber months

September is in. In a few weeks, the Christmas season would be all over the place. :) Its good and bad. Good because the country needs a break from all the stressful things that life has thrown our way for the past couple of months. Bad because money is a limited resource for all of us. Still, there is a lot of reasons to be thankful for.

Life as we know it is very difficult. Trying to reach for your dreams and live a comfortable life is what each and everyone of us is looking to achieve. The Sunday movie group saw Devil Wears Prada last night. It was a very enlightening movie. I've read the book and I must say that the movie was a big deviation from the book in terms of storyline. However, it was effective in conveying a message of learning to love your job.

One additional note is that we can really never have evertthing in our life. If you aim high for your career, you will risk losing a sense of balance especially for your personal life. Time management is an ideal solution, but unfortunately it doesn't apply to all.

I miss having my own man. I don't know when he will come by, but I just hope we find each other...soon.
