PVD - Politics of Dancing 2
Last Friday was the best party starter of the year. Mae, Oi and I were at WTC to dance the night away under the eyes of the world's number one DJ, Paul Van Dyk.
His music was amazingly entrancing as the last time he was here in Manila (2004). Although I noticed that the people picked up on the party a bit late (Filipino time as usual), the venue became packed eventually or as far as I knew since I was in the frontline. Of course, there were quite a number of people with the artificial high. I on the other hand, stuck to my code for the evening. No smoking, no drugs and NO ALCOHOL. Okay, I failed on the No Alcohol part, but that was because it was more practical to buy beer than bottled water. Imagine that both had the same price!!! Quite the highway robbery.
Funny how the guys beside me thought I was checking them out. Well, I was definitely eyeing on them, BUT I had no plans of taking home a man or doing something sexual. I was there for an evening of pure dancing and natural high. I got what I wanted and at 330am, Mae and I left. We were starving. So, off we got to Filling station.
We had some chips, pizza and to cap it off, Choco caramel cake. Yum. I got home around 630am. Sun was taking a peek. So I figured, it was time to fold.
Indeed, it was a dance to remember. PVD, if you could only read my blog, you ROCK! The guys at BigFish Manila deserve a pat on the back for bringing such quality DJs here.
For now, I'll be eagerly anticipating Chicane's 2nd visit to Manila.

PVD!Tonight is the first dance party of 2006 that I will be attending. I am so looking forward for the melange of sorts happening at WTC Buendia later.Odd enough that I'm in the dancing mood. I'll come prepared. No smoking (of anything legal and illegal). No Drugs and the biggest challenge is NO ALCOHOL.Will I enjoy it? What's Up Ketchup/Catsup? It has been a long time since I've posted any entry on my blog. How sad that I haven't been keeping track of the important affairs in my life. For starters, I've already opened a trust fund (YIPEE!!!) Although the amount is minimal, I'm pretty sure it will grow in time. So, this means I'll be adding more to that savings once I have attained financial freedom. Perhaps, this is my biggest achievement for the start of the year.As for work, it seems that every January, the blasted untimely events pile up on this month. So I'll ditch that and focus more on the good things.Last Sunday, I got to spend time with Meng and Ren. We had dinner at Café Bola and feasted on Clyde. *hehehe* Actually, we haven't seen each other for quite sometime so we took the chance to catch up on the latest from her and her with us. After dinner, we saw the holiday movie The Family Stone. It was not your typical comedy as this film had tear jerking moments. I guess this would've been more appreciated by the audience if it were shown during the Christmas season. I must say that the guy who played the gay & deaf son was really hot. :) I'd be with him if I had the chance. In the end, things worked out for everyone in the family, although it happened that the next Christmas, their mum (Diane Keaton) had passed away of breast cancer. *sniff*After the movie, we decided to have tea to cap the night. Whilst strolling towards Max Brenner, I ran into former presidential spokesman Mike Toledo. Goodness! My eyes were fascinated on how he reinvented himself post his government position. He grew his hair slightly longer, ditched the glasses and buffed up. Ah, he was a sight to fall in love with. *sigh* If only he weren't married and had a kid. The amazing part was that he took the time to converse with me and exchanged opinions on the movies we've just seen. Again, I think I know why certain married men are way more attractive than single ones. It is because they carry a certain level of confidence that most younger males strive to achieve in their early years. If I were to have a boyfriend like him, I'd definitely say YES without flinching my eyes.Jim is officially no longer part of CS. :( He's moved on to the Tech Support arena. I hope that on my next visit to Boston, we'd still manage to meet up or me crash at his very beautiful and cozy place.I've finished reading Angels and Demons. I must say it was quite exhilirating and quite the adventure. When I moved on to Da Vinci Code, my interest was slightly dampened as I found A & D to be more well packed than DVC. However, DVC posed to be more analytical which made up for somewhat less action and adventure. To this writing, I'm reading Deception Point and I'm feeling kind of disappointed as the story hasn't picked up in the early stages compared to the earlier two books. I should read the new Anne Rice book!!!This Saturday will be Trixie's bday celeb. Her birthday was last Jan 18. I'm looking forward for more Parties!!!The movie group will also be watching Underworld Evolution this Sunday. Damn. Lots of really great movies coming out this year!!! from Memoirs of a Geisha to Brokeback Mountain and X-Men 3!!! Yipee!!! The movie group will be surely meeting up more this 2006.Btw, Jan 27 will be Paul Van Dyk's Reflections 2 Manila Tour!!! It'll be held at World Trade Centre in Buendia, Makati (or Manila). My First in 2006Yes it is indeed 2006.2005 is the year that was my turning point. Having lost my dad, priorities in life have changed and so is with my goals. But that comes on later this 2006.Right now, I'd like to thank the Powers that be for allowing me to be a part of the unfolding events of this new year. It will be another time to push ourselves harder into making the best of everything and strive to attain perfection.This year, my two goals from 2005 are carried over:1. Learn how to drive2. Learn to swimand now I add two more to the list:3. Lose more weight and tone my body4.
