Back And Then More

I'm back to work.

There were tonnes of stuff to do at work and the 1 week of time off was returned by all the blah in the office. Anyway, the week fortunately came to an end. Next week, I'll be working on getting my Japan visa. I'm sooooooooo excited for this trip. A visit to the land of the rising sun would mean money (of which I have limited access to). Let's see what happens.

The End Is The Beginning Is The End

So today marks the closing of my one week solitude in the beautiful island of Boracay.

In a few hours, I will be flying back to the city. I missed the city, but this short moment of seclusion has given me a new direction, recharged my batteries and revived my weakened spirit. I've made conclusions and decisions after the time I spent here thinking of the next step in my life.

1. Propose a legacy program that would benefit my team and prove my efficiency skills in training and systems/process design.

2. Aggressively pursue new career goals that would further push my abilities to new direction.

3. Work on keeping my finances in check.


Immediate goals:

1. Learn to swim.
2. Learn to drive.
3. Fly to Japan for 31st birthday.

Drunken Madness and Total Wilderness
OK! So last Thursday evening, Mae, Meng and I couldn't sleep because of the heat. Since we were in a fan room, obviously, the e-fan wasn't enough. We decided to hit the nearest German pub that was still open and got some frozen beer. It was the best relief ever. I downed three beers.

End of Thursday.

Friday morning, I was lazy so I skipped the usual Station run. Woke up and had breakfast at Arwana. Dipped in the water and got slightly roasted...okay burnt as what they actually had seen.

Anyway, towards the afternoon, it was sooooooooo hot so I decided to grab a bottle of SML whilst CM was having her Henna tattoo. I gulped it like it was a bottle of distilled water. The storekeeper was awestruck when she saw me put down the bottle.

That same evening, we decided to watch the Myx summer party after having seen the Beach volley match. On the way there, I asked this young lad rushing his way to the summit. I asked him if the games have started. He went on saying yes and I found him cute. Inspite of his slight distinct accent, he was very respectful and accomodating in giving us the details. He was an eye candy amidst the summer heat. All that I could've hoped for was to wish him and his friend good luck as they were participants as well. Who was he? #2 - Carlo Tecson of Univ of San Carlos.

I saw him again yesterday and actually sat beside him without me knowing. It must be fate? Probably. I would've gone to introduce myself, but I held back knowing where these things head off. Eitherway, I was glad to have met him. :) I'll see you around.

Going back to the main story. During the Myx summer party, it was happy hour so Florence and I ordered Red horse Grande (2 botts pax due to the promo) and had a headstart. The other ladies had frozen margaritas. After drinking the botts, I was lightheaded and partied like a bitch let loose from the dog kennel. Amazingly, the models had their pictures taken with us as we were the only ones in the crowd that showed some signs of life. I even won a Nokia goodie bag (I thought I won the phone) for guessing the song of Nelly Furtado "All Good Things (Come To An End)." Geoff E wasn't as tall as I thought he was. :)

Anyway, Florence couldn't finish her 2nd bottle so I took it and it sums up that I had 3 500ml bottles of Red Horse, not to mention 2 frozen Margaritas. I was so plastered that I was making a complete idiot of myself. It was nice letting loose that night.

Thanks to Meng for convincing us to watch the concert. Thanks for Caloy for getting us inside. :) See! Studying in DLSU has its perks. Btw, Caloy was still good looking as ever. I HEART YOU!

The night ended with me vomiting at the veranda. The rest of the gang had late supper at Andok's. I wasted away.

Last night, it was a good Saturday evening. We had dinner at Cafe Med. The resto ran out of Moussaka. Damn. I had to slug it out with the Chicken gyros and an extra order of hummus.

Next I had my fave drink (Vodka & Cranny) whilst listening to boring hiphop music. There were lots of Boyz, but yeah, they were BOYS and not men. Ha. Just when we were about to leave, then the DJ started to play club music. TOO LATE. The mood was already dead.

Went to summer place and saw The Dawn perform. Afterwards, some house music with the firedancers show-off. It was fun. The night ended with me downing 2 pieces of quarter chicken and diet pepsi. I only had a margarita and a Red Horse grande. Let's call that a night.

Boracay 2007

Finally, I'm here at Boracay at last.

The first batch of this year's Boracay adventure is Ian, Charmaine, Sheila and Mae. I tagged it as my last because this is probably my last year of spending time in this wonderful island with my co-workers and friends. The next time would mean that I'm with another firm.

So far, the trip going here was divine. My flight with PAL was delayed, but it proved to be worth it as I got more time to hang out at the Mabuhay lounge of Terminal 2. The food was simply scrumptuous and filling. I stuffed myself as I was going to a 45-minute flight that would take the life out of me...in other words, boring.

Lo and behold, I met different kinds of people who hung out there whilst waiting for their flights. Some were annoyingly staring at me as if I its the first time they've seen a someone like me.

Anyway, when my time to fly came, I was ecstatic. The kind crew served me welcome drinks and pampered me to my heart's delight. I just wish flying overseas would be the same experience for me. Whenever I could afford in the future, I will fly business class again.

The rest of the gang's plane arrived at roughly 30 minutes after mine has cleared out. Then our land trip to la isla Bonita commenced. It was a painful ride as my body was subjected to conflicting frequencies of temperature. The cold blast from the ACU vs. the hot seat I was on. It felt like I could just die.

Anyway, I was just relieved when we got to the island and got settled.

The goal in this trip is to have as much laid back fun and relaxation as possible. So far, I've started to enjoy that a lot. We've some interesting activities mapped out for the weekend. This Saturday, I will engage in the 15 shots. Yes, I will engage in alcoholic activities that would erase my inhibitions and really have fun.

Sunday, we'll be dining at Le Soleil Boracay. Dinner buffet.

As for boy update? NONE. I still have 6 days. We'll see.

P.S. I feel like my friend is no longer interested in seeing me. Makes me wonder if I should still visit him in the Northeast. He'll be turning 30 on the 23rd. *Sigh* Sometimes falling for someone who isn't interested with you at all is just so frustrating.

Yes. Today is indeed one of those days marked by the superstitious as one hell of an unlucky day.

I won't push my luck as it hasn't been that well, so I would exercise caution in all aspects to say the least.

Damn! Its annoying that I have to save up for my Boracay trip. I hope the paycheque this 15th is big enough to cover my beach tripand pay the bills and more.

We'll see tonight.

I still have some stuff to get for the trip. But since I'm trying to save up, I'm going to have to think twice before splurging all on "non-essential items" like more shirts and more lalala.

1. I saw a new crush at the gym. I hope I see him again next Tuesday.

2. A former co-worker just told me that she is thankful that I've made her part of my life. It was very heart warming to hear something like that. (To think that most people think that I'm a selfish bastard)

3. I hope this Boracay trip would be fun. I'd like to meet someone this time. :) I'll smile like crazy!

4. Thanks to Tin for being a great table tennis buddy. You helped me destress from work and stay mobile.

5. I love my life. It may have its drama and all, but it still is worth living. Shoutout to my other two evil partners, Benz and Meng.

Resurrection Sunday

Happy Easter as what most people would greet one another. I'd prefer to call it Resurrection day.

The Christian world commemorates the great day when Jesus Christ conquered death after three days. Truly, if a man loves his friends or family so much, he would sacrifice himself for others. Nowadays, everyone is just being selfish. Times are hard, but we all need to remember that this planet is something we share in.

So I went shopping with the Mamon twins. It was amazing that I got 2 boardshorts for the price of one. To think I had originally intended to get only one. Anyway, they're great colours to have. Yellow/Blue and Brown/Orange. Next would be Orange and Pink shirts from Bluestar exchange. Exciting!

In the process of retail therapy, Sheila noticed that people were looking at us or me. I didn't really notice since I've always been apathetic to people looking at me in public (but if it were cute guys, then I'd stop and say hi!).

I hope that I don't come off to much of an anti social. ha. So to Boracay cuties out there! Let's have a drink! :)

April's Fool

I've been sooooooo busy this month that I haven't even posted since April opened.

I'm thankful for a lot of things that made me veer and recover from the recent events. Tintin's weekly table tennis session has added to my new list of sports stuff. I also managed to see Cher since we both went to the US and back. Only hers got straight to Baguio and then some. The best thing about it is that we're going to Japan! She's got our flights booked through NWA. The trip will be from June 22 to June 30. YES! I am celebrating my 31st birthday with one of my dearest friends in the Land of the Rising Sun!

Something to look forward to... Boracay 2007. There'll be more of us going this time around. I'm glad and am sooooooooooooooooooooooo excited for this trip. I can't wait to see the shores, laid back days, great food, good looking people and most of all, wonderful company. The power of Three (Meng, Benz and Me) will be celebrating this one to its fullest as things will never be the same again after this trip. :)

I'm glad that most of the Sunday crew will be there with us to savour the restful ambience that is Boracay.
