1. I'm less than two weeks from being part of a new Company.
2. I've told my agents that I'm leaving. They felt sad, but I told them that I need to move on.
3. I'm kinda worried that I've got tonnes of stuff to work on for my move.
4. I'm thinking of moving out of the house.
5. I want to pay off all of my bills to start anew.

Here's an SMS from a friend of mine for Gay Pride Day.
"The choice we is not whether to be gay or straight. For the majority of gay people, we are who God made us to be. The real choice is between denial and embracing who we are. The real choice is between living life in the shadows of walking proudly in the light. The real choice is between slow death and an honest life." To all my fellow gay and lesbian friends, HAPPY PRIDE DAY!

Yes! It is official. I am now 31 yrs old. Lots of changes this year for me. career, experiences (both positive and negative), new friends and all that.
I spent my 31st birthday during the 2nd batch of Sykes global picnic @ Subic. It wasn't as fun as it was the last Subic picnic, but for a going away/birthday celeb, it was good enough.
Lots of cutesies, but all stuck up not willing to play. So I just enjoyed myself with some of my team mates to indulge is some shopping and dancing to the music of Manolet Dario. *Sigh* When Kimosabe took over, it stunk.

When we got back to Manila, the Sunday group watched F4. Entertaining enough for the exhausted members of the sunday group having come from Subic. Afterwards, we dined at Cyma for some light Greek dinner.

I was going to buy a pink Lacoste shirt in Subic as a bday gift since it was cheaper there. However, I decided to pass and do some groceries. i'll just buy my white jeans, belt and stuff here in Manila.

So I got great news from Cher yesterday that our hotel accomodations for the Japan trip was free. How? I have no idea. Nevertheless, this gave me renewed hope that my visa will be approved.

As usual, I waited for the queue and the embassy to open. It was nice today as the weather wasn't as hot as it was during the previous weeks with a gentle breeze making the noon time heat tolerable.
My turn to claim my visa came. Surprise Surprise... my application was denied. After 3 weeks of waiting and falling in line, DENIED! I am very disappointed.
1. They should've denied applicants from the very start rather than set expectations by holding their papers for more than a week (and even interviewing them) only to be denied. Money, effort and time was unecessarily wasted.
2. In the future, go to a travel agency to have them process your paper. There is a small chance you'd be denied because it will ruin their agency's reputation.
3. The US embassy makes it easier. Although it is more expensive, but less of the anxiety and wait time.
4. Our (Cher and mine's) plans for the trip have been completely fucked up. We now have to go through the painful and arduous task of requesting for refunds of the hotel and plane tickets.
5. I learned a lot from this experience. This only means I need to build up my savings account both peso and dollar.

Father's day started out pretty much right. Mum and I went to Sunday worship together. The piano player was so good, you'd be encourafed to sing with all your heart.
Afterwards, we had lunch at Friday's where I had my favourite strawberry iced tea and chicken fingers. Mum had the JD porkchops and four seasons. To our dismay, her chops weren't cooked as good as it was before. It was so tough that we had to bring it to the supervisor's attention. In the end, they agreed with us. The chops were taken off the tab, and we were given a free order of the same meal on our next visit.

We did our Father's day visit at Manila Memorial in the afternoon. Grey skies, gusty winds and slight humidity greeted us when we got there. We did our prayers, talked a while, then my middle brother told me that I was going to be an uncle. Like all surprises, it was a mixed reaction, but knowing me, I was okay with it. I was more concerned of mum's reaction. Surprisingly, she was calm about it. She did express her disappointment, but ultimately we were both in support of him since its already there. Only problem, religion. Why does it always get in the way? As for that one, I don't know what's going to happen. Since it was their decision to be together, we'll leave it to them to handle this.
Getting a Japan visa has never been so challenging. I can safely say that the US Embassy is leagues ahead in terms of process and organisation structure for visa applications.
I openly admit that I am flustered with all the slow and time wasting system. Nevertheless, I am not giving up. Hopefully, my visa request would be granted on the 19th of June. My flight is scheduled for the 22nd. I pray to the all powerful that hopefully this would be all set.

With the experience I amd going through right now, I am so thankful to my AM for being very considerate about the situation. I am finishing all of my tasks so that I won't pull down the team.

Whilst I was at the embassy today, I kept on listening to the following songs: Is There Something - Christopher Cross, The Journey - Lea Salonga and Patience - Take That. These songs helped me last through the day. My gratitude goes to the funny book by Tom Reynolds' I Hate Myself, I Want To Die (52 of the most depressing songs ever written).
As I call it a day, I leave you with the music video of Patience by Take That.

Here's an email that I got from the distro list of my high school batchmates.
Stress management technique just in case you've had a rough day, here's an 8-step stress management technique recommended in the latest psychological texts. The funny thing is that it really works!!!!
1. Picture yourself near a stream 2. Birds are softly chirping in the cool mountain air 3. No one but you knows your secret place 4. You are in total seclusion from the hectic place called "the world". 5. The soothing sound of a gentle waterfall fills the air with a cascade of serenity. 6. The water is crystal clear. 7. You can easily make out the face of the person you're holding underwater. 8. See! You're smiling already!!
I tried and shared this to some of my co-workers and got smiles... Now it got me thinking, who were they holding underwater?

So, finally I am going to Japan. I'll be picking up my visa this Friday. The next task at hand... money. I don't know where I'm going to get money to spend for the trip, but I know something good will come up. Let's just hope it would come in the nick.

Below are the Moto handsets that I so want to have.
I was able to reconnect with Leo, Raffy and Edison last Saturday and we had soooooooo much fun. Its nice to know that they still remember me inspite of having left DBTI after grade school. It only shows that I never was a wallflower. I hope to see them again this week.

I was chatting with Marko F the other day. He reminded me about the video where Madge was driving mad. Honestly, in my dreams, I sometimes see myself doing the same whilst driving. Talk about road rage and the need to take anger management classes.
Anyway Marko, here's the video you asked for. Enjoy!

Music: What It Feels Like For A Girl (Above and Beyond Mix)
I pay all respect to the Star Spangled Banner. These ladies did great justice in singing their country's national anthem. I just hope that some local singers realise that singing the Philippine National anthem should not be a typical R&B vocal rendition.
In the next few weeks, I know I'll be sulking into a myriad of emotions. I have to be firm and steady on the path I have decided to take.
I will miss a lot. However, I'm looking forward to learning new things and gaining new friends. I'm pretty sure that it will be a major adjustment for me, but I will prevail.

It was kinda odd when I was talking to ... about my decision. I think he never saw it coming. I know he'll do a great job, its just that this time, I need to focus on me.
Today, something very great happened. The Famous 4 reunited after a long hiatus. First, Clyde saw me @ Tower records whilst I was @ the listening station. Then I met up with Meng and called him up through his new number. Afterwards, Benneth met up with us @ G4 with Jhonal. Dinner was at Gerri's Parksquare where Clyde followed us. We had dessert at Iceberg's and got to laugh a lot at the good times.
Its really nice to get to see your fave friends especially when you haven't seen them for quite some time.
See you guys next Sunday for a new movie.
