5 Things

1. Congratulations. I'm happy for my dear friends that got promoted. I wish you all the best of luck.

2. I am very disappointed and stunned, but its not my decision to make.

3. Cher was right. I should've moved on. Regrets indeed come at a later time, and that's why they're called regret.

4. Boracay 2007 will be my last vacation with my group. I will cherish each and every minute of it.

5. I need an iPod and that Xmen giant sized graphic novel @ Powerbooks Shang worth 5K.

For now, I'll keep my promise to my dear agents and do my one on ones.

Go Live CS3

Go Live CS3!

Yes! The first week of CS3 go live was officially over. We're now facing what is called to be the biggest software launch in Adobe's history. With that at hand, the pressure is just overwhelming knowing that the staff we have are babies to the support. We're keeping a stiff upper lip and will do our best to be there for all of our people. I hope the L1s see that its not just them who are being closely watched. Its also the management.

I was quite furious last Friday on how some agents chose to not report for work with their PATHETIC reasons. I show my extreme gratitude and appreciation to those who reported for work inspite of the poignant experience they went through on the first day.

As I've told everyone, "there's no other way but to go live. it has always been a baptism by fire because the theoricatal knowledge can't be tested unless real calls are taken." It would seem that only some were brave enough to face it. It only shows that the people who stayed on will be with the team for quite sometime. That alone, makes me smile knowing that there are still some courageous people who are willing to take risks so live life and carry on.

It was an intimate movie group last night. Jhon, Jay and me met up to see the film Because I Said So. Truthfully, it was a Sunday movie that entertained us and touched the spot on motherly love and children trying to live and face life's heartbreaks on their own.

Never mind Mandy Moore. Diane Keaton was the usual mum that was heavily involved in her children's affairs. The most remarkable character was Johnny played by Gabriel Macht. He was just dreamy. Those strong eyes that pierced through one's soul was definitely to die for. His character was that of a single father branded as a stereotypical heartbreaker. He ended up being the real one Mandy was looking for. Since this was a feel good movie, the ending was all in the right place much like the movie The Family Stone. Nevertheless, I loved this movie and Gabriel. He now has a special place for me.

Training Days

are over. We go live on Monday. All I can do for now is hope and pray that things go well.

Overall, its been a great week. Exhausting, but nevertheless great.

At CBTL Gb3, I saw an eye candy. By chance, we had a convo whilst I was waiting for my turn to wash my hands. I was flattered to find out the he knew where I worked. Will I see him again? I hope so. Damn. We exchanged names and I forgot his. I hope he remembered mine. :)

300

Yes! 300. THIS IS SPARTA! I meant to say this is Manila. So, I was so captivated by this movie. Aside from the overly muscled men of the entire cast, I can say that the script had a sense of witiness that makes Troy seem like a comedy.

Gerard Butler's scottish accent thrives throughout the movie. Rodrigo Santorro looked like a genderbender deity. A major flaw of the movie in my opinion would be the way the Persians were depicted. From how I recall history, Persians were conservatively dressed and more brutish. Somehow, the movie showed more of the Assyrians.

Overall, it was a good movie.

Stranger Than Fiction. Now this movie was everything that I thought it would be. From my point of view, this deserves an award recognition for being very creative and extraordinarily funny. Emma Thompson as always is an actress who is underrated. Will Farrell was quite the unusual character here. He was not his funny self; strange enough that he portrayed his role quite well. The ending was conventional, but very fitting.

Busier Than A Queen Bee

So since I've come back to Manila, sleep has been quite the elusive treasure. Yet, I've been so hyped and pressured over the task of me and Abigail being the trainers for the CS team. It can be a cheap thrill on how sleepless and uneasy one's life turns out knowing that the client's eyes are always on you and that every wrong or right move is closely scrutinised. Very convinient.

Anyway. I bought some weight loss pills and haven't started taking them for the simple reason that my body clock is still somewhat messed up. Come Monday, I will begin the road to thinspiration.

Another bad news, I still haven't heard on my application for a balance transfer with BDO. Such service. Well, I will apply the balance transfer by Tuesday next week at Metrobank. I am praying really hard that I'd clean up my financial mess by the end of this year. A little help from lottery winnings would go a looooooooooooong way.

Back Home

Alas! I'm now in Tokyo Narita airport waiting for the go signal when we could board the plane bound to Manila. Finally, I'll be home soon. It has been one heck of a short trip. Cultural exposure, retail therapy, brain dumping and all related activities than require a lot of brain power to accomplish specific tasks.

Well, to be honest, the shopping experience in Seattle wasn't as great as I expected it to be. I miss New England and SF. I can definitely say that those two cities have more character and pizazz. Not that I have misjudged my Seattle experience, so I probably need to visit Seattle once more in a different season and on vacation mode.

So, part of my ambitious plan was to be able to finish reading the book Wicked by Gregory Maguire. It was a complete failure. Time was something that I didn’t have much when I was in the northwest. It was all about work, work and more work. I did manage to go out one evening for a dinner + belly dancing show at the Pioneer square.

Oh, and another disappointing observation. Seattle closes early. Imagine this, when Acee arrived on Tuesday evening, we literally had to rush to the nearest resto to eat. Most places were already beginning to close. Imagine that?!?!?! It was literally closing down. So much for the night life. Ha.

As a conclusion…I can't wait to set foot in the PI. I know the weather would be totally horrible, but nevertheless, it is my hometown.

********************

I'm back in Manila. The heat is killing me, but I love it rather than having rain dampening my mood. The challenge of rolling out this training begins this week. Well, I am keeping faith the things would hopefully go well.

I am still looking forward to my summer vacation.

Coming Home

I'm on my way home
I can remember
All the good things.

As Enya's song goes... I fly back to Manila later. I'm excited that I'm going back to the PI even though I was gone for only a very short time.

Most people would think that my trip here in Seattle was a vacation. No. I did not get time to enjoy. I may have had the chance to go out and meet new people, but I didn't get to slack off and all.

Tomorrow's flight would be long. Hmmm. I've packed my things. I just hope the 3 bags of potato chips don't explode. :)

Seattle's Best

My trip is coming to a close. I've yet to complete my folk's shopping list as I have been working late here in Seattle. Imagine that!!! Me working late just like in Manila? Is that weird or what?!!?!?

Anyway, the pressure on making sure that the training of the L1s is successful is getting to me. I can only hope that everything goes well. After the training, I am definitely going on vacation. Boracay and Japan had better make room for me.

********************

I heard news that I didn't get the position. Well, tough luck. See Loi?!?!? We don't always get what we want. We always get something better. :)

Well, I hope to complete the stuff I need to get and more importantly, be able to pay off all of my debts.
